Principal’s Message

Dear Parents,

It is with great sadness that I announce the end of an era; the Principal of Sirius College Eastmeadows Primary School Mr Deniz Yildirim will no longer be with us. His passion for educating the young minds, his role model exemplary presence and at times his fatherly figure will be missed a lot. During his tenure, the school not only expanded in numbers but also turned into a mixing pot of diverse cultural backgrounds. His vision of setting high standards, his openness to innovations and his never surrendering to calamities approach was shared with his staff and school community. I wish him all the best and courage in his new endeavours. He will be dearly missed.

Our new principal will be Mr Murat Guzel. Mr Guzel has started the profession as a maths teacher in 1999. Since then he worked in Turkey and United States. He has been the principal of Wisdom College of Queensland for the last 3 years. He has been the principal of our Shepparton Campus before moving to Queensland. He is married and blessed with 2 daughters and a son.

Below is his message to our parents

“Dear Parents

I knew that the journey of Sirius College had started with a handful of kids and a few staff members many years ago in Eastmeadows Campus. With strong community support and dedicated staff, Sirius College transformed into a big and successful multicampus school. It will be an honour for me to be the principal of the campus where the journey has started in 1997. I look forward to meeting you and will be enjoying getting to know our lovely students. All children are competent and capable learners and it is our job with your support to flourish their skills to help them succeed. I believe, together we will continue providing the best service and environment to our kids to cater their academic and social needs.”

Mr Guzel has spent a week in November with Mr Yildirim for transition. I hope you will welcome him to his new role and make his adaptation a smooth one.

On behalf of Sirius College I thank Mr Yildirim from the bottom of my heart for all he has provided to our College in his 6 years and also welcome Mr Guzel to his new challenge.
